The center’s musical gymnastics center, basketball court, yoga workshop, and full size gym with groundbreaking equipment enable it to house for athletic events that is impossible for other sports clubs. The USA SAMBO Open Championship, a gathering of the world’s masters of Sambo and Judo, had participants from twelve diverse countries, and recognized the World Champion of the sport. In a community outreach attempt, politicians from Brooklyn and the Bronx contested in the Johnny Ray Memorial Pro Wall Ball Tournament, an event used as a stage for the local leaders to communicate about the consequence of public health and youth enablement. MatchPoint NYC offers adolescents and adult swimming lessons in its Junior Olympic pool and Kids Aquatic Center, a favorite program of native residents. Participants range from toddlers to hopeful Olympians, and led by coach Konstantin Petrov, Dmitry Druzhinsky believes they are in good hands, “Konstantin presently has a Level 4 Certificate from the American Swimming Coaching Association, putting him in the top five percentile of all coaches in the nation.” The former Olympic Bronze medalist brings over thirty years of experience on the local, national, and global scale.
